About Palmetto Heroes Hike

The Palmetto Heroes Hike honors South Carolina's fallen military and first responders, while benefitting two local nonprofits that support those who serve us: The Wounded and Recovering Fund and Upstate Warrior Solution. Follow our Facebook page for event details and announcements. Event Details:

When: Saturday, May 23, 2026

  • 12-mile Check-in: Begins 7:00 a.m.
  • 12-mile Opening Ceremony: 8:00 a.m.
  • 6-mile Check-in: Begins at 9:00 a.m.
  • 6-mile Opening Ceremony: 10:00 a.m.
  • Closing Ceremony: approx. 1:30 p.m.
  • Bon Secours Wellness Arena After Party: 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Where: Bon Secours Wellness Arena & Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville

What: Hike participants can choose between a 6-mile or 12-mile loop on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, stopping together at memorial checkpoints along the route honoring a fallen military or first responder.

Who: Whether you participate in the hike, sponsor the event, or just join for the After Party, this event is for the entire community!

Cost: All proceeds support local veterans and first responders through the WAR Fund & Upstate Warrior Solution!
