Introductory Piano Course
Have you ever wanted to learn to play the piano? Here is your chance.
Professional musician and singer Phyllis Dunne has generously volunteered her time to offer weekly piano and keyboard lessons throughout the year at the Rupert Huse Veteran Center. Due to popular demand, this class will now be offered on a regular basis, creating a welcoming space for beginners to explore music together.
This introductory course is perfect for those who are new to piano or looking to reconnect with music in a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants will learn the basics of piano playing including note reading, simple chords, scales, and foundational music theory while enjoying the process of learning something new.
Music has a unique way of helping us slow down, focus, and connect with others while learning something new.
No experience is required. Just curiosity and a willingness to practice.

Day: Mondays, unless otherwise specified
Time: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Age: 16 and up
Class Size: Limited to 24 students

What to Bring
Participants should bring:
• An electric keyboard with at least 41 full-size keys
• Headphones
• An extension cord or fully charged batteries
Students will also purchase the required piano book from the instructor. The cost is approximately $20.
